Nankana Sahib, March 11, 2026 — A remarkable example of interfaith harmony was witnessed in the historic city of Nankana Sahib, Punjab, where the Sikh community organized a grand Iftar gathering for Muslim brothers at the sacred Gurdwara Janam Asthan during the holy month of Ramadan.
The event brought together people from different faiths and backgrounds, promoting a powerful message of peace, respect, and unity among religious communities in Pakistan.

The grand Iftar was arranged by members of the Sikh community to show respect for the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and to strengthen the spirit of interfaith brotherhood. Address by Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora

He stated that organizing an Iftar for Muslim brothers in a Sikh holy place sends a powerful message of love, unity, and religious tolerance. He further highlighted that the Punjab government is committed to promoting minority rights and strengthening interfaith harmony across the province.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Tasleem Akhtar Rao said that Nankana Sahib is not only a sacred place for the Sikh community but also a city known for its traditions of peace and coexistence.
He appreciated the Sikh community for organizing the Iftar gathering and noted that such events strengthen mutual respect and understanding among different faith groups.
