Waseem Ashraf Cheeda belongs to District Rahim Yar Khan and is widely recognized as an active youth leader and human rights advocate. He currently serves as the Divisional Coordinator Bahawalpur of Nawai Masihi, where he plays a vital role in organizing community structures, strengthening minority representation, and promoting social and digital advocacy across the Bahawalpur Division. Through strategic coordination and leadership, he works to amplify the voice of marginalized communities and address regional social challenges effectively.
Academically, he holds a BS in International Relations from Khawaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology. His academic background has equipped him with a strong understanding of global politics, governance systems, human rights law, and minority protection frameworks.
Waseem has actively contributed to the field of human rights and minority rights advocacy, demonstrating practical commitment through various institutional internships. Notably, he is among the first Christian students to complete an internship at the Punjab Assembly — a significant achievement reflecting his leadership potential and dedication to public service.
He has further gained professional exposure through internships focused on human rights and minority affairs, along with practical training experience with the Punjab Police in District Rahim Yar Khan.
In addition to his role in Nawai Masihi, he also serves as the South Punjab President of the Shahbaz Bhatti Workers Movement, continuing his mission to promote justice, equality, and empowerment for minority communities.
Waseem Ashraf Cheeda is a committed and visionary leader who combines academic knowledge, field experience, and organizational leadership to work toward a more inclusive and equitable society.
