The First Apostolic Theological Seminary held its 5th Annual Convocation Ceremony in Tatlay Aali with great spiritual enthusiasm and dignity. The event brought together religious leaders, social personalities, graduates, students, and their families to celebrate academic and spiritual achievements.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome from the Apostolic Choir, who presented beautiful psalms and spiritual songs. Guests were welcomed with flower petals and garlands, creating a joyful and spiritual atmosphere.

Preaching of the Word

Professor Zikriah Qamar from the University of the Punjab delivered a powerful sermon from the Word of God. He emphasized that theological education strengthens faith and shapes character, encouraging students to combine spiritual knowledge with practical service in society.

Addresses by Members of the Punjab Assembly

Among the distinguished guests were Mian Tariq Masih Gill MPA Punjab and Immanuel Athar Julius MPA Punjab. In their speeches, they highlighted the importance of balancing worldly education with spiritual learning.

They appreciated the leadership and ministry of Principal Pastor Dr. Marcus Sharif, congratulating him on his birthday and acknowledging his dedication to promoting theological education and Christian leadership.

Certificates Awarded to Graduates

During the convocation, certificates were distributed to students who successfully completed various courses, including Sunday School Teacher Training and other theological programs offered by the seminary.

The Best Student Award was presented to Noreen Nabeel from Lahore, who was warmly applauded by the audience.

Launch of a New Worship Song

A special highlight of the event was the official launch of a new worship song written by Pastor Dr. Marcus Sharif and sung by Sister Kainat Marcus titled:

“Pierced in the side, nails in the hands, crowned with thorns.”

The song deeply moved the audience and added a powerful spiritual moment to the ceremony.

Performance Award

During the ceremony, Sister Aster Marcus, Administrator of the seminary, received a Performance Excellence Award in recognition of her dedicated service and leadership.

Birthday Celebration and Special Prayers

At the end of the program, a birthday cake was cut to celebrate Pastor Dr. Marcus Sharif’s birthday, followed by special prayers for his health, long life, and continued ministry.

Special prayers were also offered for peace, progress, and prosperity of Pakistan, as well as for the Pakistan Armed Forces, security institutions, police, and national leadership.

Principal’s Message

In his closing remarks, Pastor Dr. Marcus Sharif encouraged graduates to carry the message of Christ with humility, love, and dedication. He urged them to serve their communities faithfully and spread peace, hope, and compassion.

May God continue to bless this seminary and empower young believers with knowledge, faith, and leadership to serve the Church and society.
